The ABUS Bordo 6500A SmartX offers a convenient hands-free unlocking experience. Simply approach the folding lock with your smartphone, and it will automatically unlock when it detects the Bluetooth signal. Alternatively, you can switch off the "keyless function" and unlock it by clicking an icon in the SmartX app.

Locking is also automated - as soon as the rod is fully inserted into the lock body, the LED light will flash green to confirm the lock is secure. The app can also display the lock's status.

An intelligent alarm system is activated whenever the owner moves away from the lock with their smartphone. The alarm starts with 5 warning tones, and if the thief continues to tamper with the lock, a 15-second main alarm of 100 dB (equivalent to a chainsaw) will sound, drawing attention to the situation.
