Compact ABUS Granit Plus 640 U-Lock, 9, Black

The Granit Plus 640 compact and lightweight U-lock is slightly wider than its predecessor, the Future 64, yet it is capable of securely locking around reinforced parking meters despite its compact size. This lock features an array of security upgrades, making it our highest security mini U-lock, with a security rating of 12 out of 15.

The 640 is constructed with Temper hardened steel in the shackle, case, and supporting elements of the lock mechanism, as well as other weight-optimized alloys. This results in a lock that is both lightweight and remarkably strong. The upgraded locking mechanism now bolts four times into the lock body, with two bolts per shackle side, providing excellent protection against twisting and torsion attacks. Thieves would need to cut both sides of the 12 mm hardened steel round shackle in order to steal the bike, while the lock still offers great user "feel" and comfort when locking.

The lock's soft-touch coating protects the paint on the bike it secures. It comes with two keys, one of which is LED-lighted for added convenience.
